NSW: Woman charged with leaving toddler in car

A woman's been charged with leaving her toddler unsupervised in a baking hot car in
Sydney's west.

The 34-year-old woman allegedly left her 18-month-old son unattended in a four-wheel-drive
for about 20 minutes yesterday.

Two members of the public found the distressed child in the back of the vehicle ..

in the car park of a shopping complex at McGraths Hills.

Police say they smashed a window of the car and the child was taken to a pharmacy ..

where he was given water.

His mother was located .. and today she was charged with leaving a child unsupervised
in a motor vehicle.

She was granted bail .. and is due to appear at Windsor Local Court next month.
