Fed: Australian soldiers receive US awards in Afghanistan
The US has given Australian Special Forces soldiers in Afghanistan medals for theircontribution to the war on terrorism.
Defence Minister ROBERT HILL says five Australian soldiers have been awarded US ArmyCommendation Medals.
He says they've been awarded by Major General FRANK `BUSTER' HAGENBECK, who's praisedthe diggers for their endurance, positive attitude and ability to succeed in difficultoperations.
It's the second time the US Army has recognised the work of Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.
